We have just had our 2nd Season’s End Celebration – a time for Sitkans to gather downtown and celebrate another successful visitor and fishing season. The Celebration included the infamous Running of the Boots, free hotdogs, hamburgers and fish and chips for all, and lots of great shopping.

Another huge thank you to the Alaska Cruise Association for the cash donation that made this event possible.

We also need to thank Allen Marine, Sitka Sound Seafoods and Seafood Producers Cooperative for their very generous contributions.

The 15th annual Running of the Boots saw a bigger turnout than ever, coordinated by the Sitka Local Foods Network. Photos of this event are by Charles Bingham.
